Telemetry System

Designed for dynamic strain measurements on a rotating or moving test object. The system consists of transmitter (THG-83/THG-85), power unit (THG-84/YHG-86) and receiver (TR-82.) The transmitter is installed directly on the test object, and measured data are transmitted in FM modulation. The data received by the receiver are demodulated and output as analog signal. The power unit is for supplying stable power to the transmitter from separately prepared battery. As the transmitter and receiver are separated each other, each can be freely located. The transmitter equips receiving band display, signal meter and sensor meter and it is easy to operate. Two system voltage output and simultaneous output of voltage and current are possible, and the telemetry system can be operated with feeling as if using a dynamic strainmeter.

Ground Monitoring System MDL-101/MDL-121

The MDL-101 data logger is buried in ground for long-term automatic measurement. For example, when it is used to measure loads applied to a face bolt during a tunneling operation, strain gage is attached to a measuring location on the face bolt and the data logger is positioned at the top of the bolt. The data logger automatically takes measurements at a preset interval. Data recorded by the data logger is ready by the MDL-121L logger controller. The data logger and controller are connected by a 2-wire data transmission cable. By routing this cable along the face bolt, the cable end is always exposed when the bolt is cut by an excavating operation. The exposed cable end is connected to the controller terminal for reading recorded data even during an excavating operation. Data is automatically recorded until the cutting surface reaches the end of the face bolt.
